Mammoth House
Residential Design
A alpine retreat built for the weight of winter. Dark timber cladding and steep-pitched rooflines echo the surrounding forest, while floor-to-ceiling glazing frames uninterrupted views of snow-covered peaks. Inside, warm wood tones, exposed structure, and deep-cushioned seating create a interior that feels earned after a day in the cold. This is architecture that understands its setting — dramatic from the outside, genuinely comfortable within.

Alpine Form
The exterior doesn't quite soften the landscape — it joins it. Dark-stained timber and sharp A-frame geometry sit naturally against dense evergreen forest and heavy snowfall, with the steep pitch doing as much practical work as aesthetic. A cantilevered upper volume and bold glazed gable give the structure its presence without overstating it.
The View as Architecture
Floor-to-ceiling windows on the mountain-facing elevation turn the landscape into the interior's defining feature. Snow-dusted peaks, pine canopy, and shifting winter light become the backdrop to everyday living — framed deliberately, never incidental.

Interior Warmth
Raw timber, soft furnishings, and low ambient lighting create an interior that pushes back against the cold outside. The living space is anchored by deep seating and natural materials that age well, designed around the simple pleasure of being warm while the mountain does what it does beyond the glass.
